Patrick Lyoya's life matters
Few words can capture the sorrow of losing a loved one; no words can express the sorrow of losing a brother, a friend, a father, or a neighbor to such a violent act. Patrick was all of that to many. He was a precious and valuable human being and he will be greatly missed. In the past few days since his passing, the Grand Rapids community has rallied around the Lyoya family and supported them financially, by marching, and by demanding that justice be served in his case.
For that, we are so grateful.
we are tired of losing precious lives to police brutality. our community is severely shaken
Ways to support
Please pray for Patrick's family, our Congolese community, and our black brothers and sisters that continue to be traumatized by the American police system that continues to allow and enable these atrocities to happen.
The GoFundMe page for funeral costs is still receiving donations. Consider supporting the Lyoya family financially as they pass through this difficult time.
