Tutoring and Reading lab

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we launched the tutoring and reading lab in the spring of 2020.

Education is a vital part of child development. The pandemic presented a challenge to the education of our young ones as they were forced to attend school online.

Unfortunately, for many children, this was not an easy transition. Parents and educators understand that each child learns at a different pace and each child has a unique learning style. But attending school online makes it challenging to address all those needs.

Les Clay comes alongside parents and teachers to assist in filling that gap.

We work with parents and schools to ensure that the students have the necessary materials for success, and for a few hours a week, we oversee their virtual learning to make sure that they are caught up on homework and understanding the material.

The reading lab combats illiteracy in our community. Language barriers and illiteracy are a huge challenge for young people with high aspirations. With frequent, active reading, we can ensure the future success of our young ones.

We are always in need of volunteers to work one-on-one with the children. Consider partnering with us.
